Meet Ron Friddle

Ron Friddle grew up and has spent most of his life in Upstate South Carolina, the only child of working parents.  Almost immediately after he graduated from Furman University in Greenville, he was sent to Vietnam for combat duties where he served as a U.S. Army Intelligence Officer as the war intensified.  He returned and graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was transferred to the U.S. Army Judge Advocate Generals’ Corps (JAG) where he served as a defense attorney and prosecutor in Germany.  He was sent by the JAG Corps to the University of Virginia Law School for additional legal studies and completed his Army obligations at the Pentagon in Washington, DC.

When he returned to South Carolina in 1980, Ron immediately was called upon by Vietnam Veterans and their families across the upstate on many matters, to include Agent Orange.  The Agent Orange Class Action involved exposure to unlawfully manufactured and improperly sprayed chemicals in Vietnam.  Thus, Ron began his concentration on helping individuals who must take on government agencies and large corporations.

In 1988, Ron formed the law firm of Friddle and Waikart with offices in Greenville, Columbia, Aiken and Charleston.  As a result, Ron became the attorney for what has ultimately become thousands of clients in the Carolinas who have suffered injuries at work or in motor vehicle accidents or have Social Security Disability claims.

Ron is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the South Carolina Supreme Court and the United States Court of Military Appeals.  He is a member of the Greenville County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, a sustaining member of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, now the South Carolina Association for Justice, and a sustaining member of the South Carolina Injured Workers Advocates.
